𦴠When Is Surgery Needed for a Shoulder Fracture?
Not every shoulder fracture requires surgery. However, surgical treatment may be recommended when the fracture is displaced, involves the joint surface, consists of multiple fragments, or is unlikely to heal properly with non-surgical treatment.
Early diagnosis and appropriate management are important to support healing, restore shoulder function, and help patients return to daily activities safely.
If you experience severe shoulder pain, swelling, or difficulty moving your arm after an injury, seek prompt orthopaedic evaluation.
